The Artist
PANT. (b. 1998, based in Porto) is a Portuguese visual artist whose practice originates in graffiti, a universe he has been part of since 2013 and from which he draws much of his inspiration. With a degree in Graphic Design, he has developed a visual language that spans different formats and surfaces, working primarily with painting and collage – and above all, exploring the contrast between the two. The street is the core of his work: not merely a backdrop, but a source, material, and inspiration. Posters, tags, textures, and urban fragments are collected and transformed into layers of memory, upon which figurative portraits emerge. Faces that return identity to the anonymous and humanize the raw matter of the city. Between the irreverence of graffiti and the careful construction of studio practice, PANT. affirms an artistic language in constant dialogue between the ephemeral and the permanent, the collective and the individual.
